The Flaw of the Religionist

It's Moron-Day here on planet Earth
I stumbled upon the following forum, SciForums.com and found this peach of a comment from one of its users:

"The lives of atheists is likeable to that of a group of microbial insects, for they never see the bigger picture.

"All I will say is that if you believe that your existence is due to pure randomness and that there is no real purpose to your existence, then really you have no right to claim any morality just like the insects and bacteria which we kill every day with out even realising it.

"You have no right to claim any justice or recognition. Why? Because your life is worthless, your existence is on par with not even plants because at least they even were creations of God, but rather perhaps; lets see, the shape of animal manure; think we would agree there is a bit of randomness and chance there! Is your life on par with animal excrement? Is that what your saying?

There's so many mistakes in that quote that I think we'd better break it down bit by bit. First off he claims that to be an atheist means not seeing the bigger picture. In reality though who is more closed minded? An atheist who reaches his/her conclusions based on evidence and reasonable inquiry, or a religionist who believes he/she is in the right religion out of thousands and there is nothing that can change his/her mind?

Next, what is it with Religionists constantly making the argument (that has been successfully debunked for decades now) that atheists must believe life came from chance and "randomness" and then say "that's impossible so God must have done it!"? Also John says a rather scary thing - that if we have no religious purpose in life then we must have no morality. So that must mean the only thing stopping him from raping women and killing babies is because he believes in God. I sure hope if that is the case, he carries on being a moronic believer.

A small digression if I may - people who claim we get our morals from God or the Bible don't have a clue. Are they saying that before God gave his laws out to the Israelites at the bottom of Mount Sinai, they all went around thinking murder, theft and perjury were all kosher? Have they not read how the "God of Love" condoned slavery, the stoning of homosexuals, genocide, rape and infanticide to name but a few? A God whose best solution to imperfect humans being born in sin was to punish someone else for it by killing his son (or himself, depending on which version of the unchanging word of God you agree with).

There is more to say about the rest of his comment, but it's clear by now that he has no clue what he is saying and is simply being aggressive because he has no real comments to back up his 'faith'.
